Kijabe Rock Ridge Gardens

A restaurant, a garden and a small lodge on the ridge above Kijabe, an hour and a half from Nairobi, looking west over the Rift Valley. The view is the point: every table faces it.

We serve breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner — the kitchen never closes. There are three places to eat: the Restaurant for fine dining over the valley, the Café for something quick and family-friendly, and the Hillside Veranda for kahawa and snacks with the slopes below. Every Friday is Taste of Kijabe Night: Kenyan cuisine, live music and a curated menu.

The lodge has cottages and rooms on the escarpment. Request your dates and reception confirms by email; you pay on arrival.

There is a swimming pool, free parking inside the gate, and room for children to run.
